Did you know? ... Rob Turner, 36-0 in 1998, posted the only undefeated season in KHS history.

Did you know? ... By placing third at the 2010 State Tournament, Royal Brettrager, Jr. became the fourth KHS wrestler to become a two-time All-Ohioan. The others were Greg Zehe (1986-1987), Rob Turner (1997-1998) and Matt Turner (2000-2001).

Did you know? ... 2010 was the second time KHS has had two All-Ohioans as Nick Zele and Royal Brettrager, Jr. both placed at the State Tournament. The other was in 1976 when Keith Smith won the state championship at the unlimited weight class and Craig Famera placed third at 132 pounds.

Did you know? ... The 2010 season was Scott Francis' tenth year coaching at Kirtland, ninth as head coach. During that decade, Kirtland has qualified at least one wrestler to the State Tourament every year except for 2005. KHS qualified two wrestlers to the State Tournament in 2004, 2008 and 2010.

Did you know? ... Don Stocum was the state's top-ranked heavyweight in the 2008 Final All-Division Rankings published by The Ohio Wrestling Network.

Did you know? ... Matt Fearon earned All-Ohio honors by placing fourth at the state tournament as as sophomore in 2002, just a year after coming in as a first-year freshman.
